Along the thread of teen/ over 40 moms. GA WIC has revamped the criteria for
its participants and one of the new criteria for being eligible for WIC is
being a BFing mom over 40. I was quite puzzled as to why this would be a
nutritional risk for either mom or baby and still am, even though I am
supposed to explain this risk (along with several new others) at our WIC
staff training in March. If anyone has any info on why this might pose a
problem, I would appreciate your input. I would like to appear as if I know
what I am talking about :) j/k
A colleague of mine found in a book (can't remember which ) that moms over 40
MIGHT not be able to produce as much milk. Is this true and does anyone have
references? TIA
