Dear Friends:
    What a dreadful situation! My heart goes out to the baby and to the
mother.
    If there is damage to the mandible or temporal bones, then it could make
sense that ANY oral feeding would keep the bones from healing. Bones have to
be stable to heal.
    I assume the baby is being gavage-fed?
    Fortunately, babies bones heal quickly. Would the family consider giving
the homeopathic remedy symphytum to this baby to speed the healing?
