Well, this is really an odd coincidence (even more so as I live very near to
Lori).

My third child did the same thing when she was a baby (corneal abrasion) and
for years I suffered from severe irritation and pain in the night when the
injured area would not heal and my eyelid would rub over that area as I
slept.  I was awakened frequently in the night with the discomfort.  I
considered having some minor surgery done to repair the area but had another
procedure done on the other eye and my surgeon did not want to do two
different procedures on both eyes, so I only had the more urgent procedure
done.

I have had no trouble with that eye since late summer and although I didn't
correlate it with anything until Lori's post, it was about that time that
Molly finally weaned completely.  I find it hard to believe that infrequent
nursing could make such an impact on my eyes, but who knows!
