I recently picked "Mother Food" up on a lark. Wow, I'm so surprised it doesn't
receive more attention here --- that I had never heard of it. The book covers
pretty much anything that could be related to milk supply, be it lean or excessive
--- foods that affect supply, the role of food intolerances, so much more. The
many anthropological insights are both valuable and entertaining. It should be a
valuable resource for any mothers with breastfeeding challenges and I'm certain
that no matter how long one has been consulting in lactation or how many books
they've read, they will enjoy reading "Mother Food," by Hilary Jacobson, and find
they've learned quite a bit.
