It was just speculation, based on the connection between good milk supply and
low fertility.  (I know there are a zillion exceptions.  But in general
there's a connection, which was what I had just been saying in my post.)
Since mothers are sometimes encouraged to offer both breasts to boost milk
supply, and since some toddlers do their own version of switch nursing (those
with tolerant mothers!), I thought there might be a relationship.

As I said in my post, any improvement in fertility resulting from this change
would be slight.  But sometimes a marginal improvement is all you need to
conceive.
