I always heard it as "Horses sweat, men perspire, and women glow."

Did anyone else hear the very interesting interview on NPR today with Craig
Ferris, about early experiences of stress and child abuse/neglect and the
later anti-social and violent behavior of older children? He was suggesting
that early stress and abuse lead to physical/physiological differences in
the brain chemistry of children that make them prone to violence and aggression.

Very interesting stuff.....wonder if he's ever looked at breastfeeding and
co-sleeping and/or the lack thereof. He was talking about papers given at a
conference last fall sponsored by the New York Academy of Sciences, and said
that one of the social scientists there suggested that interventions were
needed by 1-2 years of age in order to prevent violent and aggressive
behaviors. I'd say that's about 1 year too late, personally.......
