Just heard from a mom who suggested I share her experience...hx of sore
nipples, latch worked on and improved. She'd been using disposable nursing
pads, ran out of them, used cotton pads for about 24 hrs., and not as sore,
about a one on scale of 1-10. Used disposable pads again and lo and behold
soreness increased and she finally made the connection that the disposable
pads were causing soreness-she felt they just weren't soft and their
courseness rubbed and irritated. I wonder about fibers, bleach, etc in
disposable pads, as well. Since latch on was an issue I never considered the
pads as a contributing factor to her soreness; I always feel I learn from the
moms I work with and this once again, proves it!
