Dear Winnie, I am not sure if it is wrong to be smart in being careful of what one says to people. I  think being careful of what comes out of our mouths is prudent in this day and age. Maybe you feel it is stiffling yourself, and maybe it will be. We keep batting our heads against the rock of public indifference and ignorance and I for one have been thinking about how to protect myself to last another 20 years before my retirement age. And I don't just mean from lawsuits or complaints but emotional protection so that I can stand another 20 years of how little breastfeeding matters to so many people -- parents and doctors. This is a hard busines to be in, I think. Not many of us are making the big bucks, either. Best wishes to you, Kathy Eng
