Even though our world has been very badly shaken this week, Lactnet is
*still* the virtual living room of the listmothers.  Welcome inside!

The virtual living room, as we have seen so far, is a hatred-free zone.  It
is a place you can come with no fear of being asked to gather together
against your fellow humans.  You WILL risk being asked to unite in favor of
them all, in the form of babies and mothers of all nationalities, religions,
walks of life, and politics.  Babies don't distinguish on the basis of any
of these things and neither should we in our help to babies and their
mothers.  This week more than usual, that is important, and I am grateful to
all who have sent off-topic posts which aid our collective healing from this
great wound.

When we have helped someone to breastfeed, the bond between us is
strengthened and the world is just a little safer.  One mother, one baby at
a time.
