i saw this flyer today on the desk of the postpartum nurses unit. i made a
copy:

Attention Nurses
The Harrison Group, an international marketing research firm, is conducting
a study with nurses regarding the nurses' role in new mom's infant feeding
choices. This study will consist of a 25 minute in-depth internet study and
an honorarium of $90 [this is printed boldly and larger on a separate line
and sayss] if completed by this weekend either via internet or phone.
STUDY COMING TO AN END = CALL TODAY!
Will be paid to those who complete the survey. As in all market research,
there are some questions we must ask to make sure that the study is
appropriate for you. Qualifying questions should take less than 5 minutes
depending upon your answers. If you wold like more inforamtion about how you

9 to 5 EST monday thru friday
only 3 per practice please.

i am guessing this is a formula marketing tactic. who else would pay that
kind of "honorarium"? i would bet that LC types would be excluded from this
research. and then the nurses who favor giving discharge packs and generally
don't care/know about exclusive bf, would slant the research. i didn't call
the ph. no. it is usa. the top of the fax says 5/1/02 McMillion Research
(that is not a typo).
