Pat,  I believe that one (maybe more than one) of the medications frequently
used when mom has premature labor is associated with compromised milk
supply.  I'm sorry I don't have details; I believe it is terbutaline but I
have no references at home.  A common reason for prolonged bed rest
prenatally is premature labor.   Also,  many of these babies whose moms had
prolonged bed rest may still be born prematurely and have all the
compromises that entails.   Carla

I remember reading a few weeks ago about a connection between prolonged bed
rest prenatally and a compromised milk supply.  In my archive search, the
only mention I found was from Karen G. mentioning it along with other
threats to a good milk supply.
