As an RN, I can guarantee you they didn't teach me those things in nursing
school!  We had a whole two weeks in L&D, postpartum, and newborn nursery.  My
RN credentials got me LC jobs in the hospitals, and my RN training has helped
with newborn assessments, but I certainly don't feel it gives me a one-
upmanship on non-RN IBCLCs.
