I attended a lecure today where I was shocked by some of the information
given! I found the following info. inaccurate and, in some cases, down right
dangerous:
- Raw, unpasturized cow or goat milk recommended for all including babies
with colic and digestive disorders? No mention of acceptable maximum pus
levels, parasites, bacterial / viral contamination or poor digestibility and
nutritional shortcoming for infants under 1 year.
- Enzyme supplimentation therapy recommended for babies (both breast and ABM
fed) with otis media as well as GI disorders since digestive problems are the
root cause of the problems?
- Otis media being caused by GI disorders and liver disfunction (enemas
recommended) and no mention of otis media in infants resulting from nonBFing
or being fed by bottle?
- Breastmilk containing bacteria (no mention of good or bad bacteria) while
neglecting to mention the immunilogical benefits of BFing and the
antibacterial properties of fresh EBM?

I intend to contact the person responsible for approving this lecturer and
would like to back up my allegations of misinformation with detailed
references to current medical literature. I would greatly appreciate
whatever help I can get and as soon as possible since I will be going NOMAIL
March 25 and would like to file a report on this immediately.

Thanks in advance,
Leona Simoes
