In response to Kathleen's post about the PNS - first of all - my apologies if
this has already been discussed.

As a rental station - I think it is almost unethical to even recommend
anything but a rental pump for a mom with such a premature baby.

You questioned: "Is anyone elso running into people who have been told
that the PNS is a "hospital grade pump"?

Probably lots lots of people.
medela has an 8 1/2 x 11 in. info sheet on the Pump In Style which states:

"The Pump In Style combines a hospital-grade Medela breastpump with the
stylish good looks of a black designer shoulder bag."

I think the PNS is a great pump for a working mom - in many cases, I've known
it to be the deciding factor for moms to not wean. In those cases - I think
it's great.

But this pump for the mother of a preemie? No way.
Maybe medela needs to make this clearer to their rental stations.
