Then Barbara writes...

AARRRGGGHH!

BARBARA SPEAKS . So there will be no more discussion. She has a way of
bringing any sharing or musing to a *dead* stop.

When you and, I think, Linda did your study was there bacteria in the milk
at 10 hours? Or was there some, a lot, or what?

And why get lipids into the discussion when we are talking about safe? And
if human milk left out flr 10 hours is safe for term babies why would it
all at once be toxic for preemies?

I am venting to you because I don't want to be permanently kicked off
Lactnet for what I would write there.

With the medicalization of breastfeeding all common sense has been thrown
out in a feeble attempt at getting the medical profession to embrace
lactation consultants as the wise specialists. Ha!! we see how much respect
we have gained by selling our souls when we see how successful the National
campaign is going.

Making breastmilk as dangerous as the formula company (and their partners
the Peds) wants to make it out to be is an abandonment of the mothers and
babies that we are here to serve.

Barbara does love to stamp out anything that is not embraced by the medical
profession.

My friends say that I should not be so chicken as to refrain from writing
to Lactnet because of being "dissed" but I don't know if I want to waste my
time. Actually, I hate being held up as not worthy of being as
"professional" those of superior standards and I don't like being shot at.

Oh, how I long for the "old" friendly Lactnet.
