Hi Jean,
So happy to hear of your great grandson's progress.
Here is one suggestion: buy some sort of pharmaceutical measuring device or
just some small scale like to weigh postage? Measure the amount she adds to
the 50 mls. I think you said she adds a tsp which is 5 mls which is 5
grams. I don't know what a baker's tsp is but she can measure it, then do a
simple mathematical ratio:

In the example above, 5 is to 50 as x is to 70 or 5/50 = x/70 where x would
be 7 grams.
She can do this for whatever amount she is making up for him.
