Hello, All!
I have a client whose pediatrician is demanding that she stop
breastfeeding her 21 month old while pregnant with her second baby. I
think he's concerned that the composition won't be right for a newborn,
with colostrum and so forth. Of course, I suggested that the burden of
proof should be on him, because women have been tandem nursing forever, but
this mom would like references to give to him. Does anyone have references
available regarding the changes in composition of breastmilk when
breastfeeding during pregnancy? Thanks so much for any help, please respond
by private e-mail.
