Perhaps I have sharper eyes (or newer books)  than you!
Page 123 BFAB (revised edition) "less frequent bowel movements are
normal in an older breastfed baby. some have bowel movements only
once a week without signs of constipation."

page 77 WAB (6th ed.) " ...because human milk contains enough water
for his needs, your breastfed baby does not get constipated.
Constipation (hard, dry stools ) has nothing to do with the time
interval between bowel movements.  Some older breastfed babies go
five to seven or more days between bowel movements and have perfectly
normal, though very profuse, stools."

I always think the best reference for this is the thriving, growing
baby...who shows absolutly no signs of exploding anytime soon!
But I guess sometimes people can't believe it till they see it in
print (sigh)  I've used these two a lot.
