Quick response before I put my little one to bed....
Re: Hysterectomy, would not expect that to have any impact unless the mum is
on HRT. If she is then that would be an issue.
Re: drugs and diabetes I'll leave others more knowledgeable to answer
Re: milk?? if she's noticed changes in her breasts and you say she has I
would query whether she has no milk or is perhaps on the cusp of making
milk. The missing bit out of your post was how often she is breastfeeding,
is she using a dummy or the breast for comfort etc? Is she is only
breastfeeding a few times a day and giving large feeds at the breast then
that could be the issue rather than anything else. But yes, regardless of
any milk she is doing stacks for her and her baby by breastfeeding him. Has
she read my paper about this???

PS. If her bub was 4 months or older at placement I would really love to
have her in our survey/study of older adoptive breastfeeding. Could you
mention it to her?
