The nurses and my OB in the practice I use for my yearly exam asked me back
in 2000 what the best way is for women to "dry up" their milk if they choose
not to nurse. The practice had been recommending tight binding. I left many
brochures and recommended they have these women call our lactation practice during
pregnancy.

I was surprised to hear this was the recommendation still. Is this common
everywhere in the U.S? For the record, you will be happy to hear that my OB went
on to have a baby girl who I know she was still happily breastfeeding at 2
years. Heather
