Hi, My name is Denise and I am a hopeful IBCLC-just took the exam last 
week.  I have worked as an RN for the past 20 years doing NICU, 
postpartum, nursery, and peds.  The last year I have worked as a lactation 
nurse under the guidance of 2 ibclc's.  We are looking to compile a 
compentancy quiz for our MCH staff.  This would be something the staff 
would take yearly (much like your fire and safety tests for those who work 
in a hosp setting)and would cover the basics as well as a hands on with 
our floor breast pumps to show proficiency.  I was wondering if any of you 
had one we could take a look at or had some idea about what should be on 
it.  We have our thoughts...but thought it might be nice to get some ideas 
form others in the field.
