Speaking of needing to grow up, sir!!!!!   What IS churlish and uncivilized is your utter inability to simply acknowledge that babies need to eat, mothers have a responsibility to feed and nurture them, and that there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with doing so, despite the potential harassment from unaccepting adults who have no respect or manners.  Babies do not know that we have a culture in which the natural process of a mother nurturing a child is misconstrued by ignorant adults as something shameful.  When you are proposing to consume meat in front of vegans do you instantly head for the bathroom to consume your meal, in order to be considerate?  Do you expect anyone to do so as an adult?  Of course not.  Why then do you assume that a baby must be relegated to a bathroom in order to eat?  Oh, by the way I must offer my sympathies to you and those like you who have such stiff and immobile necks that you cannot simply turn your heads in order to not be "bothered" by the connotations YOU place on the mother feeding her baby in the way nature intended.  Also touching is your concern for the increased risk to formula fed babies, who are at increased risk for ear, GI, and respiratory infections, childhood cancers, obesity, lowered IQ scores, to name a few... but at least they do not bother you by eating!!!!!
