Hi all and in response to Lynn's queries:
1) feeding with the tube moved the milk but again, very very slowly which makes me think that he really does have a problem removing milk - breast or tube.
2) definite signs of transfer even tho not many audible gulps - include mouth full of milk, burping (which can also just mean air although he looked as if the latch was sealed) and spit up once.
the feed proceeded with continual breast compression - and when the baby was taken off the breast, the breast continued to eject milk. so all in all, theoretically it would seem that SOMETHING HAD TO GO IN!!!
thanks
ellen shein,
