<<Currently I'm seeing a direction of nursing and health care that seems to
me fits perfectly with our work:They call it "strength based" case management

gives them the power and knowledge to complete other positive tasks. >>

Today at work our research committe chairperson was giving a presentation
that included about how "unsolicited approval" is so empowering to new
moms...as in you walk in the room and look for something, anything, to say
something positive about related to their mothering role or skills, such as
breastfeeding...... I think many *experienced* staff do this automatically.

and yes, "strength based" case management or care does sound like a new
version of empowerment, taking in taking hold.... task acquirement.....
positive reinforcement, skill approval...... which our customer service
committee is currently focusing on as relates to providing emotional support
in early postpartum.

So I am hoping, Jeanette, do you have a article citation available for this
new version: "strength based" case management or care?
