In my lecture for MDs I was asked a question I couldn't answer. Maybe one of
you knows the answer?

Did anyone ever prove the existence of candidly infection of the breast? If
so - how was this done? Who thought about candid being the cause of this
specific clinical picture (as I explained that the diagnosis is made mainly
by the description of the pain). Some doctors felt uncomfortable prescribing
the big amount of Diflucan needed without any study really proving that such
a thing really exists. I explained that "the proof is in the pudding" - it
works, but they weren't really satisfied, even though most seemed willing to
accept this.
