I was fortunate to hear Paula Meier recently during a conference on the
nearly term baby. One interesting point she made was that she has no
problem with starting Reglan at any sign of production problems AND
keeping the moms on Reglan long term. They do closely monitor the moms (
easy to do with a NICU mom since you see her almost every day) but she
said she had not seen any problems with a long term Reglan use. I found
this very interesting since I had been taught that long term Reglan use
could cause problems but then again- many people are on Reglan long term
for other issues.

triplet group in the NICU)
