I guess it's not really my place to say whether women with HIV should
breastfeed or not, but I do think better information all around would be
beneficial.

Another Look is an organization founded by Marian Tompson, one of the
Founding Mothers of La Leche League. She has done extensive research
regarding breastfeeding and HIV positive women, and has found the rate of
transmission is very low among the babies breastfed EXCLUSIVELY for at least
6 months. 

Given the health implications of artificial milk, the mother deserves the
full picture, not just bits and pieces.
