I will be presenting my research on breastfeeding at a conference on
women and society in the middle east.  I have felt for a long time that
it would be nice to see the subject of breastfeeding more integrated
with other women's issues.
I would like to begin my presentation with some words about the
connection between breastfeeding and feminism.  I find that there is a
misconception, in terms of the older feminism that breastfeeding is
perhaps anti-feministic.
