Hi Debbie,

all you describe fits perfectly to posterior tongue tie. While all supporting measures are a help - from my experience treating the posterior tongue tie is crucial for substantial changes. Follow up with all the supporting measures afterwards is necessary and afterwards it takes time until things gradually improve.

Many doctors don't know about posterior tongue tie and would therefore not recognize it - even doctors who treat posterior tongue tie. My suggestion is that YOU find out which doctor does really treat posterior tongue tie and suggest the mother to him/her, even if it is far.

I have followed quite a number of such cases and followed them up.
