We used to have a dr  in South Jersey, I'm talking about the 50's when you 
stayed in the hospital 7 days, who made her mother's breastfeed.  She told 
them she didn't care what they did when they got home, but in the hospital 
they were BF.  No formula allowed.  That was her rule and if you didn't like 
it ask another dr to deliver you!  So my cousin nursed each of her babies 
one week.  I was a teen then :-)  She felt colostrum was all important, no 
arguments allowed.  Pat in SNJ
