Thank you so much to everyone who responded to my query about beef,
as well as dairy products in the mother's diet being a possible cause
of sensitivity/intolerance for the breastfed baby.  And for the
interesting discussions which followed on milk/beef allergy
eggs/chicken?  A fantastic wealth of info and experience, which
confirms that yes, beef _is_ a possible cause of problems for many
babies, as well as their mothers.
