I find this double diamond technique especially good working for moms with large, rather unformed breasts where the milk-making and -transporting systems are hard to find.
I find the Marmet technique (where the oppositely placed thumb and fingers are moved towards the chest and then pressing milk out by rolling the tops of fingers and thumbs) to be especially difficult for large breasted women for the same reason: the tissues that need expressing sometimes seems to be ''running away from'' or ''hiding for'' the expressing fingers.
In teaching the double diamond I start with mom gently massaging her breast with her 2 hands and gradually moving onto expressing milk.

Warmly greeting,

Dear Friends:

One way is to use both hands, holding the breast and moving the hands
towards the nipple with some force.I heard someone call this the 'double
diamond' technique.
