Vicky, I wouldn't count her out at this point. She seems to understand and
value the importance of her milk for baby and she's protecting production via
pumping. Many mothers, including some with two or more multiples, have gotten
through growth spurts and fast-paced life while removing milk and
human-milk-feeding infant(s) for weeks to many months. As long as she continues to do so,
she's leaving the door open to direct breastfeeding again.
