I feel that retesting at some point should not be necessary. What about having to take the test when one is 75+ years old with many years of experience? What about one's position if per chance (even though small) failure occured with test. My feelings are that at some point IBCLC's should be recert. by cerps only. Also, something should be done to get the results back sooner. If this profession wants to progress, surely with computer age the results could be available sooner. Just my opinion for what it is worth. H. Curless,RN,IBCLC,RLC etc.
