I'm working with a Mama who has true low milk supply. She had infertility
problems that seem to reflect other hormonal imbalances. She has sought lots
of support, has used the SNS, pumping, compression, galactagogues, etc.

Anyway, her husband (who is usually a BF supporter) feels that she's going to
alot of effort for nothing, if she is supplying only a few (probably less
than 5) ounces per day. (She has a broken leg right now and he's taking care
of her alot, including brining baby to her and helping her pump in bed, etc.)
I've told her that the health benefits are very valuable, especially
considering baby is receiving formula (a potential risk), and that even a
couple of ounces a day is a big boost to her baby. But she would like
articles or studies that show that even some breastmilk provides health
benefits over complete ABM feeding.

I've heard it said several times, that just a couple of ounces a day shows
measurable health benefits, but can't find any articles or specifics on this.

Thank you all very much.
