Katie, great work!  This is an excellent explanation of the events
with much more information than any other account I've seen.  I'm
simply amazed at the quotes you elicited from the principals in the
story.  Can AAP president-elect Carol Berkowitz not hear how
compromising it sounds to state that the formula reps have been her
friends for many years?  And it's exceedingly clear from his words
that AAP president Carden Johnston regards the formula reps as his
allies and reliable sources of information while doubting the
credibility of his fellows in the Section on Breastfeeding.  Does he
really think that multi-billion dollar businesses are more objective
about the bf research than the doctors who specialize in it??

Just when I think I could hardly be more cynical than I already am . . .
