>Crystal asks: "QUESTION: If a cow had Mad Cow Disease could it be tranfered
into their milk, then
into humans? Just a wonder."

Don't know. But with all the recent talk about Dr. Sears and his reference
to "mad mommies" - how about Mad Mommy disease being transfered through
mothers' milk?<

Sorry, this isn't going to be funny. Wanna bet they say (having 'won' the
arguement on HIV) that all women at risk of cjd -- and that is every woman
in the UK who drank milk or ate dairy produce in the last 10 years for a
start -- is advised not to breastfeed, or at least to be tested antenatally
and avoid breastfeeding if there is a risk. The alternative? Genetically
modified bovine breastmilk substitute?
