Leslie,
I think what we are looking for are dumb reasons to quit bf that other people
impose on moms. Not what the mom thinks is an excuse/reason. Does that make
sense? How many times has a health professional told a mom, "You can't bf
because you are taking a pain medication." or, "You can't bf because the
baby is not getting the nutrients he needs at his (advanced) age of 12
months.:" Or, "You need to supplement because the baby can't possibly get
enough -- he's too big/too small."
I hear what you are saying about the moms, and I agree. If the reason for
her stopping bf is good enough for her, that is fine. But how many quit
because someone told them it was "time" to quit -- for some dumb reason.
Lisa, I think it is a great idea.
