Excellent letter, Linda!  The first thing I thought of when I read the
above was the news report a few days ago saying that
India has just topped a billion in population.  China is over a billion.
That's over 30 percent of the world's population in just those 2 countries.
Out of curiosity I checked the Almanac.  Africa and Asia together have over
4 billion people.  In contrast, North America and Europe together - Crib
Central - have fewer than a billion.  I think we can safely drop the
"probably" when we talk about where most of the world's babies sleep...
