Pictures can be helpful, but one must be aware that they are not always 
so. One needs experience taking pictures that will yield useful 
information, cameral angles can make things deceiving that would be 
straightforward if one were looking at it in real life. Colors are also 
not always accurate, depending on  the quality of the camera, the 
source and quality of the light used in the picture.  One also needs 
experience interpreting pictures and knowing just what information can 
be gleaned from them and what can't. So, pictures can be helpful, but 
some caution is advised.

This would be a great thing to have a session on at an ILCA meeting or 
conference. I'm sure there are some people who have experience using 
pictures, who could offer some pointers for the photographers and the 
interpreters.
