Dear Wise Ones,

Our daughter gave birth 3 mos ago to a healthy fullterm daughter.
Problem free til 1 month pp when our daughter broke out in hives (urticara).
She was prescribed Ahiston. A few days later, the baby's regular pediatric checkup suspected arythmia that was confirmed by the halter test.
According to the cardiologist's instruction, our daughter stopped the antihistamine immed.
He is also wary of prednisone.
A second halter test a month later showed that the baby was now healthy.
During this interval the baby also came down with whooping cough (despite having been innocculated at 1 mpp). 10 days Antibiotic treatment solved that.

The hives have continued to spread. Topical ointments/creams are to no avail. The hives are copable during the morning, but by 4 pm are difficult and prevent normal sleep for a bf mom. They have now spread from the soles of her feet up her body to her lips and now also cover most of her breasts and seem to be closing in on the areolas.

A well-experienced bf mom (#4), our daughter very much wants to enjoy bf this child - but the experience is not enjoyable nor comfortable.

Your input re other remedies -conventional &/or complentary - will be most welcome.

Thank you
