I want to present myself as a "case" study and get your feedback please.
I bf my 1st for 2 yrs.  My  cycle returned when she was 17 mos old .  I had 3
or 4 cycles and became pregnant with #2.  I ret'd to work when she was only
7wks old and did use formula rarely for supplement  at the sitters, she
started solids around 5 mos.  #2nursed for 16 mos.  I ret'd to work when she
was 4 mos.  She too rec'd sm amts formula and solids about the same age.  My
cycle did not return until 2 mos after weaning .  I had 6-7 cycles and became
preg. with #3.  ( all of these were more or less planned)  #3 nursed for 3
yrs 2mos.  She rec'd no formula and refused any solid or baby foods until 10
mos.  I ret'd to work when she was 4 mos old.  When she was 2 yrs 2 mos I
still had not had a cycle and as we wanted #4 without large age span between
kids I took a round of Clomid and another drug I forget name of.  That 1
round started my cycles.  After 4 I became pregnant with #4.  I returned to
work after #4 was 4 mos old.  She rec'd no formula and started solids around
5 mos.  My cycles returned when she was 2 yrs 1month.  I had 1 cycle and 2
mos later became pregnant with # 5.  He is now 2 and my cycles have not
returned.  I am no longer working since his birth.   He rec'd no formula and
no bottles of anything.  He started wanting solids around 6 mos.
Now my questions how often do you see this pattern in your practises?  None
of the LC's I worked with went more than 4 mos without return of cycles
regardless of work status.  Very few of our clients ever bf long enough for
comparison and those that did  usually had their cycles back lots sooner.  I
am aware of the use of bf as birth control in other countries, but would like
some comparison with like cases.
2nd question.  I recently had a facial done at a mall.  A first for me.  She
ask if I had had a hysterectomy while looking at my face under a magnifying
mirror.  She wouldn't really explain but I assume it must be dry or
something.  I have not noticed it except on cheeks and blamed it on heat in
house and age (35).  I have never had the problem of bf and vaginal dryness
so had not considered my skin.  Has anyone had clients with this complaint of
observation?
     I am grateful for all the experts on this forum!  Being home, this has
been a way for me to keep somewhat up on the field.  Thanks
