Brian,

Congratulations on your work at the Smithsonian. Did you work
in the basement research lab in the Natural History Museum? Unless it
has changed recently, they will let anyone in there over the age of 12
and it is fascinating! One can watch scientists at work and examine (and
handle) everything from fossils to animal skins.
Re: your colleague who agreed to ask on his survey - Were you
breastfed and for how long? Think of how important that could be on so
many research projects. I was surprised to see the question, DId you
breastfeed and for how many months on a recent mammogram I had. When I
put down 9 years, they thought I had made a mistake! But they should
also have asked, Were you breastfed and for how long? That is an
important factor also!

Hope to see a lot of you Lactnetters at ILCA. I will be in the
exhibit hall displaying my books and will also have LATCH ON TO LACTNET
BUTTONS for sale (at no profit.)
