Another suggestion is to wipe down the room mom and baby are sleeping
in at least twice a week from dust, removing carpet and other fluffy
items in bedroom.  Use the same Spartan protocol as for asthma cases.

My second daughter slept on my chest for some time before I did a
complete clear out and wipe down for dust and mold.  Here in WA state,
condensation from heat being on (she was a December born baby.)  She was
fine from
the night after the wipe down.
