Two mothers who have given permission to post to Lactnet.

Mom #1 has 6 month old exclusively breastfed infant (fed first child to 18
months), no meds, or medical conditions. Has returned to work two days a
week, children go to familiar setting. Mother denies any other life
changes. Past two weeks is taking 8-10 minutes to let down ( previously 1-
2 minutes) either to baby or to pump. She was unconcerned initially but
baby is balking at breast now, at delay. States once she lets down, she
is pumping as much milk as she did, but "why is it taking so long now?".
any ideas?

Mom #2 has 2-1/2 year old with significant peanut allergy and asthma. She
is very careful with foods and reads labels thoroughly. Child has been
hospitalized twice for reactions. Her question: If she inadvertantly
consumes peanut product, how long do proteins remain in her body? I have
requested the two articles I could find referencing peanut allergy.

Thanks for any assistance.
