Dear Lactnetters,
Please help me.  Is it contra-indicated to do laser therapy on nipples that
were painted with Gentian Violet?  Suddenly one of our physiotherapist is
refusing to give laser therapy on nipples painted with Gentian Violet
because according to her it can cause the skin to burn.  Apparently her
resource was an obstetrician that made the statement.  Are you aware of
anything like that?  Physiotherapists have been giving laser therapy on
Gentian Violet painted nipples here for quite awhile without ill effects.
