An update on mother and baby who were separated because mom has Hep C- they
are back together as of yesterday pm and both are thrilled to be together and
breastfeeding!!  Special thanks to Drs. Newman, Dermer and Wight who helped
with information forwarded to her lawyer (all have been privately notified,
as well), to Jennifer Tow who offered advice and local names to help, local
IBCLC and LLL who were helpful (and continue to be) and a special note of
thanks to Christina Smillie, MD, IBCLC who with her contacts was able to help
trmendously and with whom it was a pleasure to work.

This was all an unfortunate mistake caused by misinformation and hopefully,
no other mother/baby will have to suffer as this pair obviously did.  Have
discussed with Tina Smillie the possibility of writing this up for Pediatrics
to inform as many health professionals as possible so mistakes like this
aren't repeated.
