Has anyone investigated Williams Syndrome. These descriptions fit it to a
tee although it would likely be a mild case to be so late to be recognized.
I have seen Williams Syndrome largely masked by breastfeeding until the
start of solids. A child like this needs a good neurological work up. The
delay in overt symptoms of some syndromes in fully breastfed infants can
cause confusion. ie " if it was xyz we would have seen symptoms before
now"... another situation where the normal (fully breastfed) is treated as
the abnormal.
