KATHLEEN -- Here's more contact info on the woman looking for an older
British child nursing.

suggest, and just picked eight as I'd noticed that Veronika Robinson, who
recommended La Leche League, had breastfed her daughter to age eight.

> Karen -- I'd be happy to ask the listmothers to post your request to LactNet,
a listserv of lactation consultants/professionals which is worldwide -- someone
may know someone, etc. and pass it along. However, there are extremely few
people in the world who have ever nursed a child for more than 8 years. There
may not be anyone at the moment. And even if there were, they would probably be
unwilling to speak to the media about it for fear of reprisals, accusations of
child abuse, and other such rubbish. You will have much more luck finding
someone nursing a child of 3-5 years of age -- there are many of those around.
You might also consider interviewing someone who did nurse a child for many
years, but whose children are now grown -- so there isn't a concern about the
child being taken away by Child Protective Services. You might even consider
interviewing a grown child who nursed for many years and remembers it. I'd
offer two of my kids, but neither of them are British, though my daughter lives
part-time in Cork, Ireland! She nursed until she was four years of age and is
currently nursing an almost 2 year old, my adorable grandson Henry. My youngest
nursed until he was 5.5 years of age, and is now 16.
