Dear Friends:

Does this baby have Duarte's Galactosemia? If so, the mother needs help from
a wise physician, a nutritionist and a laboratory as this type of
galactosemia is on a continuum. Some babies need no dietary restrictions
while others need monitoring of blood levels in order to figure how just how
much breastfeeding and how much human milk substitute that baby needs to
stay healthy.

warmly,

Nikki Lee RN, BSN, Mother of 2, MS, IBCLC, CCE, CIMI
